Fab Photo Friday - The Road to Home

The other day,  I wanted to get a few shots to show the folks at home what I'm talking about when I say getting here is uphill both ways.  This is the Ozarks, man.  Ain't nothing flat about this place.

If you click on that to make it larger, you can see the hwy coming in from the West.  I'm standing on the farm road coming into my neighborhood.  Top of one hill toward top of the next.

And that is the view looking east from the top of the same hill.  You can't see from all the trees and a curve, but at the bottom of this hill is the river.  Cool bridge there, if you like bridges.

Last, that one is the top of the hill on the highway.  Making a left out of my neighborhood is a bear, because you can't see what's coming over the hill, but hey, surprises are what makes life fun, right?

Thanks, Janet! I wish I'd gotten off my butt and taken those pictures when fall was at the height of color. That view was amazing then. Oh well, there's always next fall. =o)

Thanks! It was gorgeous when it finally became green after we moved in April. I'll take those pics, too, JB. =o)

What a wonderful view. Man, I actually forget there are places not covered in snow. I can tell how much you're enjoying your new space! Keep the pictures going.

Kentucky is like that--one little round hill on top of another little round hill on top of...yeah. You get it. Parts of eastern Oklahoma looks like the Ozarks, too. I'm a mountain girl raised in western Oklahoma. The Colorado front range was my ideal--Rockies to the west, plains to the east. The best of both worlds! :)

LOL, yeah, Karyn. We had snow, but then a couple warm days took care of it. Now it's just cold cold - but sunny, so it looks like you'd want to go outside and play, but then you do and you freeze. ;o)

Oh yeah, Silver. I remember driving through KY. So pretty. The front range was pretty, but the plains of CO. Bleh. I'm happier here.
