At a Loss

I am so wrapped up in my own busyness that I am totally at a loss as to what to talk about today.  I started to do a post about reading - and realized I did a post about reading two weeks ago.  I could do a post about writing, but I'm not really at a place where I have anything to contribute to what's already been said on the subject.

I thought about talking about the Olympics, but frankly, after the initial excitement, my interest is flagging.  I mean, we're not doing nearly as well as I'd hoped we would.  I still watch, but I'm no longer glued to the TV.  In fact, most times when it's on, I'm reading with the TV on in the background.

Basically, I'm at the point where I'm just here yammering at you.  Tomorrow, I'll post a bit of the new book I started over the weekend.  It's Book 3 of a series I haven't sold, but I can't help myself.  I need to write in this world again.  I missed the characters.  I want to know what happens next (because I don't plan very far ahead, so it's as much a mystery to me as anyone else what will happen.)

I could've talked about some current events, but meh, I don't want to get into the news.  Too depressing.

What do you want to talk about?  What's going on in your life?  Anything exciting or interesting happening that you want the world to know about?  Dish away in the comments!

I so understand, B.E. - most days over on The Journal I am at a loss for words! As for excitement in my life? Ha - not a thing! Although today is a work holiday, so I'm planning on spending a great deal of time in my pajamas (really, not much different than a work day)!!

Looking forward to more about Djinn 3 (I love that world, too - and the characters, especially Jo).

Oooh! I'm I LOVE starting a new book. I'm jealous! Can't wait to read tomorrow's post.

I'm trying to finish a book that's taken me close to three years….eye roll.

LOL, Janet. Would ya believe that this morning after this post went live, I thought of something to write? And now it's gone. I can't wait to be able to share some of Djinn3 with you. (And Djinn2 if I ever get it edited.)

I know, JB! I missed writing new words so much. I hope you enjoy tomorrow's snippet. Good luck finishing the 3-yr book. You can do it!

I love your Djinn world, B.E. and so glad you're revisiting it. Fingers crossed for the series!

You know my news--good, bad, and probably "ugly" once Lawyer Guy gets out of the hospital. He is not a good patient. LOL I'm still floating on cloud 9 from the good. A dream editor, a two-book deal with my favorite Harlequin line, and Iffy chomping at the bit to get to work. The ol' Universe has been pretty good to me lately.
