Guess what? It's Family Day in most parts of Canada today. Long weekends always mess me up. That's my excuse for being late getting this up. Also, Friday was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary so I spent the day cooking and then celebrating, Saturday was Valentine's Day so I spent the day in a chocolate coma. And Sunday I spent recovering. That kind of carried over to today.

I managed to make breakfast!

Since then I've been proofreading the production galley for my next romantic suspense, EXPOSED. It's a mindnumbing, very necessary task. And it's taking me forever. Or so it seems. But once I hand it back I'll be notified of a release date and I can get the marketing ball rolling. And I can't wait to share this story.

To treat myself later I'm going to finally finish reading Toni Anderson's A COLD DARK PLACE, Book 1 in her Cold Justice Series.

What did you indugle in this weekend?

Ugh. Long weekends kill me, too. Congratulations to your parents! That's quite a milestone.

Yay for your next book, even if the pre-stuff is a drag. Let me know when you're reading for me to start shouting about it.

I bought a Stouffer's lasagna, so there was some indulgence there. Otherwise, it was kind of a blah weekend.

Sounds like your weekend was busy, and fun. Aren't 50th anniversary celebrations simply wonderful? Congrats to your parents!

Hubby and I went out to dinner with a family friend on Friday, as soon as I got home from work. We try to do that once a month. I babysat my 8 week old granddaughter on Saturday night. Sunday, I did nothing but drink Thera-flu for a head cold. And today (it's a holiday in the USA too--Presidents Day)I was right back to work at 6:00 AM.

I'd love a good chocolate coma ;-)

It's a long weekend in the US too, President's Day…not that I remembered that BEFORE I checked for the mail, lol.

Congrats to your parents! Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend.

I find there's a lot of blah that happens in February, B.E. And it is a milestone and we had a lovely dinner to celebrate because they didn't want a big party. Easier all around.

Thanks, Teresa! We laughed and told stories and had a wonderful time! Oh, grandbabies. I try not to think aboutt those yet. However, I was saying to my husband the other night I really need a baby fix. I hope you're feeling better soon!

It was a great way to spend the weekend, JB. Right President's Day. I know we usually have the same long weekends, but not always. I hope you had a great one!
