Marketing Mode!

Marketing. That nine letter word that makes my head spin.

Some words on marketing. Not from me because I have no idea what I'm doing, but from a 'professional'. 

7 Ways to Engage Your Customer's Reptilian Brain. It sounds terrifying, but it's actually very interesting, to me anyway. Not only from a marketing perspective but from a customer point of view. Be warned though, she uses some extreme marketing examples that some might find disturbing or even offensive. 

Must work though and has to be part of the reason why companies spend a bazillion dollars on those Super Bowl commercials. Makes me think of my favourite commercials and why I like them!


If you only knew how many times I watched this! I'm still laughing. 



Aren't perfume commercials the craziest? Also, Charlie Huunam fan here. Like... yeah. Counting down the days until I can see him playing King Arthur.

I think some of my favorite commercials don't do anything to make me actually want to buy what they're selling. I love the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials, but I don't drink. (And even when I did, I was a Miller gal.) I hated the DirecTV commercials with Rob Lowe, but their new ones with various football people make me laugh. (Eli Manning playing with trains, Andrew Luck as a crazy-cat man, lol.) No way would I pay for NFL Sunday ticket, though. I loathe Flo from Progressive, but the redheaded guy on those commercials cracks me up. "Sprinkles are for winners." Amusing, but not leaving me with a burning urge to switch insurance companies.

Maybe State Farm. I already have them, but the commercials with Aaron Rodgers did make me contact my agent for a 'discount double check'. And I constantly quote the 'I got ya a dollar' thing.

I know what you mean, B.E. Although it would be interesting to delve a bit more into the psychology of it all. Or maybe I don't want to know what my favourite commercials say about me. LOL
